This is the deck that started it all. Preceded by the “Roses & Lilies” deck by three months, this was the first mass production tarot deck in English history.
This prototype deck officially appeared on December 10th, 1909 for display at an art fair.
This deck begs the “chicken vs. egg” question. Legitimate arguments can be made that this deck came first (unlike Greedo).
Chicken, egg . . . chicken, egg . . . The B and C decks are eerily similar, yet there can be only one “first” among equals.
The Pamela “D” deck is suspected to be a photographic copy of an “A” but may have its own secrets yet unveiled.
